I ordered various parts for a computer I am going to build. So far I dont have the specs but I will be posting all the components when I get them. I will post results also.
Heading to town today to pick up my new 32" HD phillips television. It cost me a bit but I plan to hook up my computer once its build to it. Parts should be ariving this week I am so excited.
Have you guys built your own computers or upgraded parts lately?
This is my first time so its going to be a nice little project to work on
Goood, you should connect your PC with this TV, imagine playing games on 32''. :))
ReplyDeleteVery cool. New computer builds are very fun so I can't wait to see what you bought with pictures!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to build my own computer but I'm afraid I'll fail at it hard. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to build my own, but I have a lot to learn before I could even begin to
ReplyDeleteBuilding your own is like making your own sandwich. It just tastes better!
ReplyDeletegood luck building your pc, ive done it once and twice and have always run into at least one problem or two, but thats how you get good at things i guess.
ReplyDeleteYou should have posted before you bought things so we could guide you :P I've been lusting after a 30" Ultrasharp for my desktop (1080p is for chumps :) and a 3D projector for the living room. I tried 3D on a "big screen" but I soon found out that if you can see the wall or whatever that surrounds the screen, you loose the effect immediately. I built the rig I am on right now: i7 920 w a modest OC of 3.6ghz, 12GB DDR3 1600, 1GB DX10.1 gfx card ($80 bucks, and most games are DX9 anyways) and a sweet Antec 1200 case. It has issues from time to time, but it sure is a beauty.

My best advice from my opinion is avoid the ATI cards. They boast about great hardware but the software support for dual gpu is pants! This is coming from a very angry ATI 5970 user!
ReplyDeleteI bought a Asus 6950 2Gb. I really hope it works out to be fine. My friend has the same ATI card but has not had any problems yet.
ReplyDelete@half Coct THats a pretty nice setup you got. 3.6Ghz is pretty dam fast. I am geting an Overclocked i7 running at 4ghz, i bought it pre-modified as i am a total noob and would only melt my computer if i tried to mess with the dials :P
ReplyDeleteI built my own computer, and it's best quality!
ReplyDeleteI've never built a computer or anything like that before, but it sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteBuilding computers is fun. I've done it, and had a blast!
ReplyDeleteMy computer is wickedly old, but as long as it can run Starcraft 2 i'm not gonna mess with it :).
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your rig man! I've never built a computer and don't think I ever will, I really like laptops :s
ReplyDeletegreat post. following you
